What is the Encrypted Cache Key and how do you get it?

The Encrypted Cache Key is an item you get in the Warmind DLC for Destiny 2. After completing the main Warmind campaign, Ana Bray will give you weapon specific requests a series of quests that require you to use IKELOS weapons and do things like get Cabal kills, complete Heroic Strikes, etc. 

Completing Ana Bray’s quests will earn you Rasputin Key Fragments. Turn 8 Rasputin Key Fragments into Ana Bray, and she will give you the Encrypted Cache Key.

How Do You Decrypt The Encrypted Cache Key?

To make use of the Encrypted Cache Key, you must complete 7 waves of Escalation Protocols. Escalation Protocols are the new Public Events added to the Warmind DLC. You can activate Escalation Protocols at any time on Mars, but they are very challenging and will require a well-equipped fireteam.

After completing 7 waves of Escalation Protocols, there will be a unique chest you can only open with the Encrypted Cache Key! The chest has extra random drops, no fixed reward.
